One week, two sketches, worlds apart
Exploring colors and patterns. The sketch with the whimsical lines expressing happiness; the more structured composition expressing a more stressful state of mind. One week, two sketches, worlds apart.

It is amazing how strong feels can be represented in single lines.
My eyes gravitate towards the black and white line design. There is something in the composition that is inviting me to dissect it. It looks like a wall corner painting.
I wonder what would happen if the more structured black and white composition later received a colorful watercolor wash. Would it appear a bit less “dark”? Would it portray different feelings? ….. just wondering.
Thank you for your comments Jan. Interesting. I will further explore the black and white composition. You are right about the wall corner. I did not realized that. Thanks.
