Childhood Memories
Between pine trees
And wild flowers,
Small churches
And bells
Ringing in the distance…
Between shaved ice,
And pistachios
On school days,
Books, games, and laughter
On weekends,
There were three little faces
In the back of a car,
Counting cows, horses and dogs,
On their way to adventure…
Life was simpler then.
The fun was in the journey,
Not so much in the destination.
Childhood memories,
Pathway to happiness…

Reblogged this on beyond art and architecture.
“…the fun was in the journey, not in the destination…” How true is that. We tend to forget this. The destination is not important anymore if nothing is learned from the journey.
Thanks for the reminder.
